Project RECCE is the leading UK charity that assists UK Armed Forces Veterans to find meaningful careers in the construction industry. This includes bespoke training through its Pathways into Construction course that it delivers online with expert tutors - and on successful completion of the course, students gain a CSCS card and H&S qualification.
They also specialise in getting veterans work trials, site visits and making introductions to a wide range of construction organisations that often leads into new and exciting careers.
It was Project RECCE that started Project COMEDY as a short-term project during the Covid lockdowns - but as Project COMEDY continued to deliver, it became its own entity.
We still have very strong ties to Project RECCE as we can enable veterans to gain the skills they need to successfully secure new employment - communications skills, self-confidence, connecting with clients and enhancing their learning skills.

The Access to Technology Foundation (ATTF) is dedicated to supporting vulnerable and isolated UK Armed Forces veterans and their families by providing them with essential Information Technology, such as laptops. This access empowers veterans to apply for jobs, engage in online training, participate in recovery activities, and maintain real-time communication with support networks, helping to alleviate their isolation.
In today's digital age, technology is integral to everyday life—from managing finances and job applications to streaming entertainment and staying in touch with loved ones. For veterans struggling with basic necessities like food and heating, the absence of a laptop can significantly hinder their ability to connect with essential services and opportunities.
Three of our acts have received laptops from the Access to Technology Foundation – without these laptops, it’s more than fair to say that they would not be following their comedy journeys.

It’s more than fair to say that if it weren’t for Laughing Horse Comedy, Project COMEDY would not exist. Laughing Horse delivers all of your comedy needs as both a comedian or as a venue/organisation that wants a comedy show or act.
If you desire a comedy show but don’t know where to start, Laughing Horse can do everything for you - book comedians, arrange the tech and run the event.
If you’re a comedian and need a venue and/or tech for a fringe show - then look at the supported venues they run at Brighton, Edinburgh, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth and other international festivals.
Want to learn the skills that enable you to be an amazing stand up comedian - then you’ve found your one stop shop. Laughing Horse runs beginner, intermediate and advanced courses as well as personal tuition. Want ongoing support - then they’ll hook you up.
The majority of our Project COMEDY Ambassadors have undertaken Laughing Horse courses that they found invaluable. Plus, when Project COMEDY ran their full-length show at the Brighton Fringe Festival, it was a Laughing Horse venue that they used.
We are always grateful for their ongoing support and love working with them.
